Training in Plumbing and Electrical
In rural areas, the scarcity of skilled individuals in plumbing and electrical work often leads to delays in addressing urgent repairs. Recognizing this challenge, MIDS saw an opportunity to empower young women by providing training in plumbing and electrical skills


Addressing Skill Shortage
MIDS identified the lack of skilled personnel in plumbing and electrical work as a significant issue in villages, particularly in urgent repair situations.
Empowering Women
By offering training in plumbing and electrical skills to young women, MIDS aimed to provide them with opportunities to earn a decent income and contribute to their communities by providing essential services.
Strict Beneficiary Selection
MIDS implemented a rigorous beneficiary selection process to ensure that young, motivated women were chosen for the skills training.
Practical-Oriented Training
The training, conducted from May 2 to 18, 2022, focused on practical skills development. Twenty-five women participated, and they were divided into small groups to facilitate hands-on learning.
Guidance and Instruction
Experienced instructors guided the trainees through various tasks, enabling them to quickly acquire the necessary skills in plumbing and electrical work.
Empowerment Through Skills
The skills acquired by the women during the training empowered them to take up job opportunities in their localities, addressing the shortage of skilled personnel and providing valuable services to their communities.
