Cell Phone Repair and Service

MIDS, Cell Phone Repair and Service Training offered technical skills for repairing and servicing mobile phones. This program was designed to create job opportunities and promote self-employment among rural women through technical skill development.

Objective :

To teach cell phone repair and servicing skills to women for self-employment or employment in the technical service industry.

Impact :

Participants have established their own repair shops or found employment in existing service centers, helping to increase their household income.

Vocational skills training provided under the Schöck Familien Foundation-supported project has been instrumental in increasing employment opportunities for rural women. MIDS has empowered women to start their own businesses and find jobs, resulting in 92% of trained women becoming self-employed or employed in their respective trades. The project has not only provided valuable skills but also facilitated credit support through Self-Help Groups and banks to help women establish their businesses.
