Land for the Landless
Having access to land is crucial for economic stability and personal security. For those without land, acquiring property can provide opportunities for self-sufficiency, a place to build a home, and a foundation for agricultural activities. This initiative helps marginalized individuals break the cycle of poverty by granting them a valuable asset for a better future.
In 2007, MIDS launched the Land for the Landless program to assist individuals without land in acquiring their own property. Through this initiative, 25 beneficiaries were selected and provided with Rs. 25,000 each to purchase land, enabling them to secure a place for housing and farming.
