MIDS believes that children are to be cared, provided with apt atmosphere to develop their inborn talents and become masters of their own destiny. Following are the specific interventions of MIDS in child development.

• Bright Children from marginalized families are sponsored under Thalirkal Ulagam Programme to pursue their school studies. Presently 475 children are getting assistance under this programme to continue their school studies.
• Career guidance programmes for high school students to assist them to choose their career.
• Skills Training for the children in useful and productive skills during the holidays to induce them to join for job oriented courses.
• Scholarship assistance to deserving children to pursuing their higher studies.
